Lovely cottage in need of some modernization, yet in a beautiful location.
This cottage is located in Zákany, in a hilly area not far from the Drava River and Lake Gyékényes, but you also have a beautiful view from your own property.
As is often the case, you have to look past the clutter. :-) The cottage is 90 m², built of stone, and has three floors. On the lower level are the kitchen/diner and a living room. There's also storage space. From the outside, you reach the upper floor, where you'll first find the beautiful terrace from which you can enjoy panoramic views. On this floor, you'll find two bedrooms, a toilet, and a shower. The (inside) stairs to the upper floor also lead to a spacious landing and a bedroom.
Utilities such as electricity and water are available. Gas can be connected from the street. For drainage there is a septic tank. The house is heated by a wood-burning stove. Connecting to the internet is no problem.
This house is located in the wine-growing region of the village of Zákány, which has a population of 1,200. The village offers excellent shopping facilities. For fishing and water enthusiasts, Lake Gyékényes (4 km) offers beautiful weather perfect for relaxing by the water, boating, and fishing. There are all kinds of fish here. The Drava River is also nearby, only 300 meters away.
Zákány is situated on the south side of the Zákány-őrtilos ridge.
The larger towns nearby are Csurgó (20 km), with a beautiful thermal bath, and Nagykanizsa (25 km), where you'll find all the major retail chains. It also has a charming town centre and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a restaurant, a terrace, or just sightseeing. A day trip to Lake Balaton (70 km) is easily doable. This certainly also applies to Croatia (Koprivnica is just 25 km away).
Here you'll buy a lovely cottage, but especially the beautiful location and the fantastic view.
Regarding acceptance, it's good to know that this is registered as a winery and therefore requires a longer procedure that can take up to 8-9 months.
